Well it's been an exciting year so far. Lets review:
1) One of my BFF's got hitched! I had the honor be being in her wedding. Really, for me, it was just an excuse to wear a cute cocktail dress and sparkley heels. But lets face it, my true friends know the truth about me (and I know she's going to read this at some point ;-) )
2) I quit my 1st job out of college after 8 months. Yeah, I guess you could say I gave up. Since my blog is public, I will spare the details (just in case, ya know). But really, there's nothing to hide. I just wasn't cut out for the job. And not ready for it. It's very terrifying going into work the day you plan on quitting. Me? I had "a talk" with my boss. I decided to man up and do it face to face. I did consider a letter of resignation, and just handing it to my boss and being like PEACE BITCHES!! But then I thought, who writes a letter of resignation? I'm not the freakin' president.
3) I forgot to mention that I accidentally quit my job without having another job lined up... mind you, I have little gigs I can work here and there for money (and no, I'm not a prostitute), but it still wasn't the best decision I ever made. I applied for a million jobs on Craigslist, and to my surprise, received quite a few call backs. Promising ones, not the spam ones for "women seeking women."
4) I had a few great interviews, but I wasn't expecting anything to come of it. I am, after all, 23 and have less than a year of real work experience. Who wants to hire someone who can't handle a job after 8 months? However, I went into all my interviews with an open mind, and was completely honest about my situation. I feel like at this point, I've been through so many interviews, I rarely get nervous for them anymore. I figure, they like me or they don't. Right?
5) I landed a new job! Yep, I found one.
My last day at my old job was Jan 30th, and I started my new one Feb 1st. Nothing like taking a vacation, right? I can't really complain though, I need to consistently work to support my shopping habit.
So that's where I am. And overall, I'm very happy with everything =) Oh yeah, my birthday is next weekend February 28th!!!
List of things I'm planning on within the next year:
-figure out what pro cheerleading team I want to try out for.... any suggestions?
Lakers, baby...Lakers. I've always wanted to...maybe I still will. :)
